About me

Hi, I'm Lucas! Originally from Brazil, I'm now pursuing a Computer Science degree with a concentration in Cybersecurity at Kent State University in Ohio.

My academic journey began in a unique partnership program between Kent State and PUCPR called the American Academy, where I earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree. Alongside my studies, I volunteered as an Informatics instructor, helping older adults navigate technology.

 

As a native Portuguese speaker, I'm fluent in English and have intermediate proficiency in Spanish, allowing me to connect with diverse communities. My technical skills are grounded in Python, my go-to language, and I'm currently expanding my knowledge by learning Go and applying C++ in my Computer Science coursework. My interest in cybersecurity was sparked by popular media like Mr. Robot and the influence of friends who are also developers.

 

Outside of academics and tech, I love cooking and playing the bass guitar. I look forward to growing my skills and contributing to the ever-evolving landscape of technology.
